BIG MAMA Berlin

We stayed one night with two small kids, and the staff were super friendly with quick check-in and checkout. They have children's bedding and pillows, plus a little footstool for the toilet. The kitchenette is very basic but handy for making sandwiches and boiling pacifiers and so on, and it has a water heater and fridge. There were plenty of towels, the room was clean, and the quiet courtyard meant we slept with the window open. There's a lovely little space right in front of the hotel with sand, toys and sun chairs. It worked really well when we needed a rest after a long day while the kids played. Parking right outside was easy, at 18 € a night. We'll come back.

I've stayed a couple of times in the four-bed room and had a very nice experience. The price is fair, staff are friendly, the place is relatively clean, and reception is open 24 hours. Breakfast is also very good, with lots of homemade things to try, which probably explains the 17€ price. The walk from the metro station can feel a bit shady at night.

Getting around Berlin was easy from this convenient location, and I liked how quiet the atmosphere was. The room was clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Service was good throughout, and I found the hotel comfortable overall.

Big Mama was a good stay for me and my friend, and I'd recommend it. It's a little outside the city centre, but we didn't mind, with metro and tram stops nearby. Our room was clean and spacious, the service was great, and there are some good facilities. Adding a rental bike to our reservation was easy, and someone from staff is around 24/7. One tip for Big Mama: the room can get pretty hot, and the window doesn't open all the way. They should get good air conditioning or make sure the window can open wide for fresh air.
