The restaurant is amazing, with outstanding food, and the staff are great, though they seem run off their feet. The shower in the room was awkward because it was low and had no curtain. Still, the food, the staff, and the convenient location make it a great place to stay.

The room was nothing special, but good value for money. A couple of windows didn't have proper blinds, so in early July the room got bright very early. There was no AC or fan, which made it pretty warm. The building is lovely, in a small village about 10 minutes by car from Ulm. The courtyard is nice, though less cosy in person than it looks in the Booking pictures.

Breakfast was extremely busy the morning after our stopover, and one staff member was trying her best to look after everyone. There seemed to be too few people on the floor to take orders and clear the many tables, so management could have helped or kept an eye on things. The staff were very friendly, our room was warm when we arrived, and we slept well. I think the breakfast rush was a one-off.

The bed for one person was like a rock, and the pillows were mostly air, so I had to use my blanket as a pillow. There was no AC, only a fan as loud as a plane, and the church bells rang every 15 minutes, even at midnight. It was the worst night I've ever had, and I was so glad to leave the next morning. I don't recommend this hotel, or Ulm in general.

The food was good, the staff very friendly, and the room spacious. There was indoor parking too. I could clearly hear the nearby church bell, but it wasn't loud enough to bother my sleep. I'd take off one star because there was no charging plug for the car.
