Ferienhaus Waldrand

We were 17 people across three generations, including children, and the place gave us plenty of room to be together. We could all sit around the dining table or relax in the cozy conservatory by the fireplace. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and there were plenty of bathrooms. It was quiet here, close to the forest, and made a lovely setting for our weekend. We'd happily come back, hopefully when the weather lets us use the garden. The garden has a fire pit for roasting marshmallows, a swing, a small children's carousel and a covered terrace, but the bad weather kept us from using those. On rainy days, we had the foosball and pool tables instead.

For a large group, this house was really good value, and the village has plenty of shops for everyday things if you've forgotten anything. The covered terrace behind the house was our favorite spot. Everyone could sit at the picnic tables and barbecue together, and there was a swing and carousel for the little ones, and even older kids :P. The conservatory had three couches and was great for relaxing. There's a TV in there, but we didn't use it because things were noisy enough already. There are also pool and foosball tables in the basement, though we never got around to using them over the quick weekend. The kitchen and shared dining area worked well for our group. There were two fridges for beer and drinks, another for food, and a dishwasher. The bedrooms were a mixed bag, with some more inviting than others, but we were mostly there to sleep. Each bathroom had its own shower, toilet and hot water supply, so we didn't have to worry about running out of hot water. The showers were quite old and cramped, though. It's a fantastic vacation apartment in a quiet location. Hope we get to come back!

There was a barbecue spot and a small playground for the children on the property. The house has a good number of rooms and everything we needed for a short or long trip. A great place to spend time with family.

A quiet area, lots of space, and everything you need to cater for yourself. All was good.
