The pork loin with onions is worth ordering. It reminded me of schnitzel with gravy and a few onion rings, and the side salad tasted especially fresh. It's lovely that country inns like this still exist, with their rustic feel, good home cooking, and traditional service. The senior owner showed me to a table that he'd apparently reserved for his dog, as the photo with a note on it showed. There were other tables open, so what an honor! Later, the four-legged table owner wandered by off leash. I couldn't tell whether the dog went into the kitchen too, and maybe it's better not to imagine what might happen. When I paid, including a 10% tip, the older woman didn't even thank me.

Sunny the dog really is a ray of sunshine. The staff are friendly and take time to answer questions, and the rooms are clean and well kept. It's a wonderful country inn. The food is satisfying for vegetarians and meat eaters alike.

Even if you're not very hungry but still want something, get a side salad with a wheat beer. The salad is pretty good 👍, and wheat beer is always a good idea!! I definitely recommend it.

Across from the hotel, a path leads to the castle ruins and garden, where you can take a nice short walk and enjoy the view. We had clean, warm, spacious rooms, and the family was very friendly. The hosts were kind to us and our daughter, and spoiled our dog too. Dinner at the inn was delicious, we slept peacefully, and breakfast the next morning was a treat.
