They took care of everything perfectly. The service was clean, efficient, and focused on the customer, which is hard to find.

The setting on the Rhein is stunning, and the hotel is beautiful and luxurious. We had great food in a wonderful dining room, and the staff were incredibly helpful. A faultless stay.

At Rheinhotel Schulz GmbH, breakfast looked fresh, but my partner and I both had stomach problems after eating. That made us uneasy about eating anything else there. Staff were mostly polite, though sometimes a little odd, and with so many issues I would have liked them to take the initiative or at least acknowledge what was wrong. That didn’t happen. I also wasn’t told before arriving that renovations were underway. Every morning, noise began before 8 AM, so there was no chance to sleep in or have a quiet morning. It was especially frustrating to have had no warning. The room was clean, but it seemed only partly renovated. The TV didn’t work, the internet was completely down, and some electrical outlets couldn’t be used. Some light switches didn’t work or had their covers missing, leaving the room feeling unfinished and poorly maintained. There was even a tree tied to the balcony railing with an internet cable, which looked unprofessional and unpleasant. With the renovation noise and the problems with the food overshadowing the clean room, the hotel felt overpriced and overrated. I expected a much higher level of comfort and care for the price. Rheinhotel Schulz GmbH may have potential, but until the communication, room condition, and food issues are sorted out, I wouldn’t recommend staying there.

The restaurant, banquet rooms, and conference spaces are a pleasure to look at. The hotel is stylishly and elegantly decorated, with plenty of room and opulence despite being in the old town among narrow lanes. A large underground car park is especially useful in that setting, and the location is excellent.
