I stayed in September 2022 and came from the U.S. I expect rooms in Europe to be small, so that’s no problem, and the toilet and sink were a perfect size. Breakfast and service were excellent. If I’m in Unna again, I’ll stay at the Nachtwachter.

For €72, I wouldn’t book this place even for my worst enemy. I can’t recommend it to anyone. The younger woman clearly seemed not to want to work there, and while the older woman in the morning was nicer, I still wouldn’t recommend staying here. I checked in last night and the staff already seemed annoyed. The lock on room 27 was very stiff, and by the time I got the door open the room was cold and extremely musty. I had to leave briefly, so I couldn’t raise it with reception then. Looking around more carefully, I found mold in the bedroom and shower. The bed gave me back pain and had stains, so I’ll have to wash my clothes in very hot water. When I tried to check out today, I mentioned the mold and said I was in Unna on business all week. The response was very rude: “Well, that’s just how it is.” I said we would pay for only the one night, and they were still rude.
