Apartimo Munich-Unterhaching

I was here for seven nights while working at the BAUMA expo, and this little apartment suited me really well. Having a kitchen meant I could keep food and drinks in the fridge and relax in my own space instead of relying on a hotel bar. There are two Lidl stores within easy walking distance, plus an Asian restaurant across the road that reminded me of the Hong Kong style Chinese places in the UK in the 80s and 90s. The food was to die for. I also got takeaway from Ganesha, a brilliant Indian restaurant three or four minutes away by car. The lamb and mango was excellent, and I could eat peacefully in my room. Towels and shower gel were provided. The building and room were spotlessly clean, thanks to the cleaning staff I saw regularly. Reception was staffed when I arrived at 21:30, and one of the staff checked me in quickly. The hotel car park was full at first, so I used the LIDL lot next door. Make sure to tell reception so they can add your licence plate to the system and LIDL know you’re a hotel guest. I was able to use the hotel parking on the following days. For a single person on a work trip, the room was just right. A few small things could make it more practical for longer stays: the TV can’t be seen from the table, so you have to lie on the bed to watch it. A wall bracket that swings out would help. There’s also no power point near the table for charging a laptop while working, and a dustpan and brush would be handy for keeping the floor clean. It’s not very well set up for business guests or longer visits, but these fixes would be quick and cheap. Still, it’s been a perfect little space for me.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and they cleaned the room thoroughly every day after the initial cleaning fell short of a five-star standard. The room was spacious, the beds were cozy, and it was comfortable to stay in. We had basic cooking supplies, with Lidl and Aldi as well as several restaurants within walking distance. The S-Bahn station was about a 10-minute walk away.

It was quiet and felt safe both during the day and at night, with several shops close by, including a Lidl two minutes away. The connection to the city center was good: the train was easy to reach, then it was a 15-minute walk. Check-in and check-out were simple, and even though the lot was full, there were plenty of other parking spaces. The hotel was very clean, with fresh-smelling rooms and clean sheets. A good choice for a short city break, especially for the prices compared with apartments in the M Zone. I recommend it!

You can cook here, and it’s decent, though a bit pricey. Munich city center may be quite a way off.
