Victor's Residenz-Hotel München

The staff were kind and understanding, and I appreciated how hard they tried to make our stay pleasant. The rooms, though, don't feel worth the price. The colors on the walls are dull and a little depressing, and the bathroom looks decades old, with a rusty shower and worn fixtures. Right around the corner, there's somewhere more modern and luxurious that costs even less and includes full amenities. I can't recommend this hotel unless the rooms are updated to meet today's comfort and quality standards. I'm also not sure how it got 4 stars.

Breakfast was the best part of my two-night stay. The room itself was another story: on the first night, I saw stains in several places on the sheets. Before going out the next morning, I left a polite note asking for them to be changed because there were dirty spots in multiple places. That evening the bed had been made neatly, and the notepad with my note was gone, but the sheets were still the same when I went to bed. I find that unacceptable. I also asked for a bottle of water and was charged 7,50€ for 0,5l.

The service is great, and they do a good job. Still, the whole place feels a bit aged, especially the rooms. If you're staying in Unterschleisheim, this wouldn't be my first choice.

I was here on a business trip with a group of colleagues. The rooms were in good shape overall, with just minor wear. Some are arranged in pairs with an adjoining door left open: one has a sofa and work desk, while the other has a bed. It was more space than I needed, but it made the stay comfortable. The breakfast buffet covers the essentials, nothing fancy. In summer there’s no air-conditioning, so you have to sleep with the windows open and a fan.
