Getting around was easy by public transport, though the area may not be very car friendly. The nearby convenience store has been closed since Covid, leaving no immediate local shopping apart from the expensive Dorflauden Council(?) Coffee Shop. There were several drawbacks in the accommodation. The old technology safe kept all our valuables locked away for 16 hours before help arrived. WiFi didn't reach the balcony out front, only inside and up the spiral staircase to room 5. The pillows were much too large to sleep with, and the main room couch was scratchy and uncomfortable for sitting for long. There was no English TV channel entertainment. We also had to vacate by 09:30 Sat because the whole house was being changed and cleaned for new arrivals.

Our car stayed in the garage for the whole week, since we could easily get everywhere on foot, by bus, or by boat. The guesthouse was clean and in a great spot, and the owner was friendly and helpful. It was the relaxing holiday we had pictured. We'd love to return!

We were glad each evening to have booked the Mäder Guesthouse, especially after spending our days cycling around Lake Constance in fantastic weather. Right by the harbor, it has a perfect location. Mrs. Mäder was incredibly welcoming and gave us excellent advice and tips for excursions, which we really appreciated. The apartment was spotless and fully equipped. With the guest card, we could ride the bus and train for free. We had a fantastic stay and would give it even more stars if we could. Thank you again for everything!!

The harbor view from the spacious balcony was lovely, and the apartment was clean and roomy. There's a private garage with space for a bike or SUP. A small supermarket, several restaurants, and more are just a few minutes away on foot. The hostess was friendly. Wi-Fi was occasionally patchy, the only small drawback. We'd definitely return.

Everything was well organized and very clean. The location is right in the center, with parking just outside the door. I'd book it again anytime!
