Gästehaus Am Balsberg

It’s been such a lovely stay for all three of our groups: two seniors, four adults, two teenagers, and two children. The apartments feel modern but still cozy, with so much care put into the details. It even began snowing today, which made everything feel extra special. We’re so glad we could stay here, thank you ❤️

The drinks machine in the basement is a nice idea, but finding beer that was nearly six months out of date was disappointing. That really shouldn’t happen. We also found the kitchen equipment lacking. As for the hosts, I can’t judge how friendly they are: we never got a reply to our email, and during our stay they didn’t check in once to see if everything was all right.

There’s plenty to do nearby on foot, with a supermarket, restaurants, and a playground close by. We also really appreciated the sauna and the good range of games available to borrow downstairs. Our apartment was bright and comfortable, with great mattresses and thoughtful little supplies like dish soap and sponge, coffee and filters, soap, and shampoo. It had an oven and dishwasher too. The Lesmeister family were very friendly, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Many thanks!

We loved the peaceful setting beside the Fehlbach stream, and there’s plenty to do in every season, from hiking and other sports to swimming at nearby Wössner See in summer. The apartment has lovely mountain views and was equipped with everything we needed, especially a complete kitchen. You can tell the owners care about quality and all the small details. There’s also a fitness area, sauna, washer, and dryer in the basement. The owners were attentive and friendly, and clearly cared about how we were doing. I’d happily recommend this guesthouse. Five stars plus! We’ve already arranged to come back.
