Das Marienkaeferhaus

It felt much more like home than a hotel room. We didn't need much space, and although it wasn't very big, it had what we needed. There was wine and water in the fridge, plus a little box of snacks. We hadn't expected much, but we were made to feel very welcome when we arrived.

It was clean, which is the only reason I'm giving it one star. The advertised breakfast was just rolls from the fridge, open instant coffee, and a little spread. I didn't book a place with breakfast so I could make it all myself. The oven needed a thorough clean before I could get it to work. It's advertised as a holiday apartment but doesn't have a kitchenette, and the landlady refers to it inconsistently as an apartment and a holiday apartment. She only replies to emails when it suits her and keeps ignoring my requests for a price reduction. I've already complained to booking.com, and I'll notify the relevant authorities about the electrical system, which is dilapidated and life-threatening. An uncovered triple socket right beside the sink is simply illegal. The lamps are fixed with inadequate wall plugs and screws, and the toilet paper holder keeps falling off. The coffee machine was broken, and the TV got no Wi-Fi signal, so neither television nor streaming was possible. We had to buy our own toilet paper; fresh rolls weren't delivered until the following evening. In my opinion, they're trying to make money cheaply at the tenants' expense.

The rooms are quite small, though that in itself shouldn't be an issue. The problem is that the listing says five people can sleep comfortably, but the sofa bed and stretcher were poor quality.
