The entrance price felt a little steep for a visit that usually lasts 20-30 minutes: €10 for adults and €7 for children. Still, it makes for a lovely outing, especially when the weather's good. The butterfly house in Uslar is small but very pretty, with lots of thoughtful details and many different kinds of butterflies flying freely around, easy to watch. A great experience for children and nature lovers. Outside the entrance there are a few seats, plus a small range of children's games, which is handy if you want to linger. There's also a little shop with souvenirs, pretzels, waffles, homemade cakes, and drinks. We didn't try any of it, but it looked appealing. We didn't stay overnight.

Our little one was completely mesmerized watching butterflies everywhere. It's a small place, but the visit was lovely for her and for us adults too, even though you can see everything pretty quickly. The Butterfly House is worth the trip, just bear in mind it's only a short visit.

Keep your eyes open as you walk around, there's something to spot both above and below you. Little Chinese painted quail dart around among the plants, and the place is full of beautiful butterflies. At the entrance, they explain the display cases with living leaves and stick insects. It's a wonderful, educational place and always worth visiting 😊
