Hotel Fröhlich-Höche

It was okay.

We never went short of water, since it was available for free at any hour. The breakfast was a real standout, with rolls and cold cuts from the village and honey made by a beekeeper in the neighboring village. It was delicious, easily among the best breakfasts in the region. The staff were very friendly, and the hotel itself was lovely. Even on May days below 20 degrees Celsius, the heating was still on, so we stayed warm.

The celebration was magical, and the whole team made us feel welcome and looked after from the start. Ms. Heske and the Höche family deserve special thanks for their warmth, commitment, and support. The food was outstanding, the buffet looked beautiful, and the drink dispensers, including Aperol Spritz and Wild Berry Lillet, were a big hit with our guests. Mr. Höche also went out of his way to make our wishes happen. He prepared and tested a wedding ice cream cake for us, then decorated it beautifully. It looked stunning and tasted just as good. We were impressed by how flexible and proactive everyone was. We could decorate the hall the day before, and the team helped us throughout. They also handled practical details fairly and accommodatingly, including changing the package price because we had so many children. We chose the Fröhlich-Höche Hotel Restaurant for our wedding and couldn't have been happier. I, the bride, arrived the day before and had a relaxing evening, with delicious food, great drinks, very friendly service, and a lovely, spacious room where I felt at home right away. My husband joined me that evening on the wedding day, and we were both thrilled. The room was especially roomy, which gave me space to get ready calmly with my stylist. The bathroom hadn't been fully renovated yet, but it didn't take away from the positive impression. Our children were comfortable in their room too, and would gladly have stayed longer. It was a wonderful day, full of heartfelt hospitality, professionalism, and care over every detail. Thank you for making it unforgettable. We wholeheartedly recommend the hotel restaurant! The Rabs Family 💛

We went back for a second dinner the next evening, after the Solling Treehouse Hotel recommended the place. Both visits were wonderful. The roast was incredibly tender, and I don't think I've ever had better red cabbage. The pizza bread was unbeatable, the main dishes were fantastic, and the prices felt very fair. Ms. Heske was our waitress, attentive and friendly, and her recommendations were excellent too. If you're in the area, it's well worth a visit. Thanks for two lovely evenings.
