A very clean, comfortable place to stay, with spacious rooms. The location is really good too, close to nature.

Lovely hosts, clean rooms, and an affordable stay close to Cochem. This is a really nice guest house.

The rooms were clean and the atmosphere was lovely. We had a good breakfast and the hosts made us feel welcome.

We spent a week in Valwig at the Landgasthof Beth-Steuer, using this small, slightly dated house with eight rooms as a base for cycling along the Moselle. The owners and the kitchen and room-service staff were friendly and helpful, and gave us useful tips for things to do. There’s private parking for cars, while bikes can go in the garage and their batteries can be charged there. Towels are changed daily on request, and the bed linen twice a week. We booked breakfast, and the freshly prepared egg dishes and oranges to squeeze ourselves were very good. The buffet otherwise had little choice, with too little variety in the cold cuts and cheeses, and the single small coffee machine meant waiting. In the evenings and early mornings, the thin walls in the “Riesling” room cost us some sleep. Creaking old floorboards overhead and the stairs in the hallway added to the noise.
