Ferienpark Vieregge

We spent the week using the wood-burning stove, and the Wi-Fi was excellent. The house was cozy, the furnishings were what we expected, and the bed was freshly made and exceptionally comfortable. The surroundings were very quiet. We got the voucher as a gift and booked a week at the Vieregge holiday park in January for August 2023. But it was only a week before arrival, when we asked about arrival details, that we were told the final cleaning fee had to be paid in advance. At €136, it was a lot, especially since we've never paid that much for final cleaning before. And the house wasn't especially clean when we arrived: there was a used cotton swab on the bathroom shelf, and a toilet roll in the guest toilet had soaked up some unknown liquid. We only realized after using it. The grounds seemed a bit neglected, and there were lots of cobwebs inside. There is very little else in Vieregge, so we drove for all our outings. We especially liked the inn in nearby Neuenkirchen, with excellent food and very friendly staff. Reservations are highly recommended.

The place is beautiful, though the mosquitoes are plentiful.

We felt very comfortable in the lovely accommodation, and it’s a shame our wonderful holiday is ending. It’s so quiet here, surrounded by nature, and a real place to unwind. Great for families with children. We’d love to return.

The sunset from the Grümbke Tower is priceless, and I got to enjoy a beautiful one during my stay. The whole complex is well looked after, and the sauna and relaxation room are consistently clean and nicely furnished. Friendly animal visitors make it even nicer.
