Best Western Hotel Viernheim Mannheim

Check-in and check-out were easy, the bed was luxurious and really comfortable, and the hotel was clean and modern. It had everything I expect from Best Western.

The rooms are basic, with a bed, desk, shower and TV, but everything is brand new and the cleaning is perfect. A quirky extra is ordering a drink on the room tablet and having a robot bring it up, even at any hour. Breakfast was very nice, with good coffee, bread, croissants and a selection of cheeses. The orange juice was my only small gripe; it’s very basic, which seems fairly common in Germany. Great value for money.

The hotel atmosphere and everything else were in order, and most of my experience was good. Early in my stay, though, my concern about the air conditioning took a little too long to be addressed. More breakfast choices would also be nice.

I stayed four nights from 10/7-23. The modern hotel is easy to reach from the highway, with free parking beside it, and breakfast was good. My standard room was small but functional and clean, with a queen-size bed, shower, air conditioning and Wi-Fi, all working perfectly. The desk was so tiny I could barely use my laptop there, and I really missed having a fridge for cold water on day trips. There’s no restaurant, but there is a nice bar. You can order drinks or snacks on the room tablet, then a robot takes the elevator and delivers them. The tiny desk and lack of fridge bring down my rating, though otherwise it’s a very good hotel.
