Landgasthof Waabs Mvºhle

We hadn't planned to stay overnight, just find somewhere for dinner while riding around the area on our motorcycle. After struggling to find a place, we came across this lovely spot. The patio has a beautiful view, and the couple running it were very friendly and helpful. We had a seasonal special of butter-roasted chanterelles with schnitzel, which was fantastic, then finished with their homemade Grand Marnier parfait and a cup of coffee. Highly recommend stopping here for the food, views, and lovely atmosphere. Best regards, Søren & Helle Denmark

The night sky here is incredible. I could never see stars like this in Hamburg, Berlin, or Munich, and only remember a better view from my old home in the Arizona desert. On our way back at 11 p.m., we saw a bright streak with a green spherical tip pass right by the building. It looked like a small meteor or shooting star had landed in the meadow, a little bit of good luck from above. I remember seeing the last meteor fall over a field in East Frisia exactly 30 years ago. We came for breakfast and enjoyed it. The staff seemed to anticipate everything we needed, and the setting is fantastic. After long trips home, we often stop here for a short break. Our beloved dog enjoys a drink, a bite to eat, and a walk too. From the parking lot you can head straight to the sea, or turn left and wander past meadows, fields, and little wooded patches, where you may spot deer, foxes, and squirrels. Go the other way and you'll reach Eckernförde in no time, if you feel like it. As for the busy main road, I usually see pedestrians or cyclists there coming toward me, curious and happy, asking where they are or where they need to go. Sometimes a group of 8-12 deer crosses, pauses, and looks at me as if to ask, "Who are you?" There are deer at other times too, usually in a much larger group, and they move on quickly. If the old mill ever needs a new name, I'd suggest Mill & Sea of ​​Stars :) It doesn't rain shooting stars everywhere, and this place has a lovely starry sky. I think this planet is too beautiful and our lives too precious to judge by rooms or food. Happiness is the journey.

The five of us stayed at Waabs-Mühle for three nights, and we were thrilled. The owners' warm welcome and the whole family feel made a real impression on us. Our rooms suited us perfectly, and the owners cooked everything fresh. The dishes were varied, beautifully presented, and so delicious that we wished we'd had the chance to try more. We hope Waabs-Mühle keeps making guests who value peace and a family atmosphere just as happy. We left absolutely delighted!
