No one seemed to be managing the place while I was there. I couldn't find staff, reception, or anyone to help, and there was no housekeeping or other service. The room was uncomfortable too, with stains, thick dust, and cobwebs in the corners and along the ceiling. It looked as if nobody had stayed there for months, and the building itself felt abandoned. A really disappointing stay. I wouldn't consider it up to basic standards for cleanliness, service, or safety, and would tell others to look elsewhere.

The breakfast was one of the best I've had in continental Europe. Kiedrich is a stunning village, and the setting is beautiful. Our room was spacious, nicely appointed, and had a fabulous bathroom. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

If you're driving yourself, I'd recommend staying here. It's a really good-quality hotel for the price.

The rooms are basic, but thoughtfully designed. The area is lovely, and the staff were extremely friendly.
