Hof Hahnenberg

Breakfast was a lovely, tasty way to start the day, and we were given such a warm welcome. The food was perfectly prepared, and the room was lovely too. Those beds were fantastic, we slept so well. Every staff member we met was incredibly friendly, and we felt at home right away. We watched three dogs, presumably the hotel owner's, happily running around the garden from our room window. Around midday they were all resting by reception. Dogs are welcome here, and next time we'll bring ours along. We can highly recommend the hotel to everyone, and we'll be back!

We stayed in Apartment 11, just above reception, and the rooms were spacious and nicely furnished. It felt like being at home. The kitchen was very well equipped, even with a microwave. For anyone booking only a room, there's a shared room with a kitchen and refrigerator too. Breakfast is an extra €10, and the selection was great and nicely laid out. I was pleased, especially with the perfectly cooked bacon. The Kellogg's cereals, like Chocolate Tresor, had been left out too long and had gone soft instead of staying crunchy, though they still tasted good. Despite there being other guests, we slept without any trouble. The staff were friendly in a natural way. There's also a very sweet dog who likes to come along on walks when you're taking your own dog out. The reason I gave four stars is the Wi-Fi. In some rooms, including the bedroom and living room in Apartment 11, it was sometimes so poor that our phones kept dropping the connection on the beds. It depended on the angle, position, and time of day. At other times the phones said we'd have internet again once the connection improved. It was really frustrating for my generation, which relies so much on smartphones. A Wi-Fi repeater would help. Even with that issue, I'd absolutely recommend this hotel.

We felt very welcome with our dog, and we'd definitely stay here again. The staff were incredibly friendly, the rooms were lovely, and breakfast was beautifully prepared. A truly wonderful hotel, everything was perfect.

The hotel is just outside town on a country road, about a 10-minute walk from the nearest village. There's very little traffic, so you can barely hear it at night even with the window open. The room was modern, clean, and beautifully furnished. Breakfast was very good too, with everything we needed. I highly recommend it!
