Pension Pulvermühle

In May 2025, I was hiking nearby and fancied a Heckel beer. The pub was closed, but by chance I met the owner, who poured me two fresh beers. We had a little chat too. That's Franconia for you, paradise! 😉👍🍻

There was plenty of space for tents, and the children had room to run around. The setting is fantastic. My son held his wedding here, and we were given complete freedom to decorate and make it the wedding we dreamed of. Chan, the owner's son, was always there to help and easy to reach. A huge thank you!!!

The garden was one of our favorite parts, with lots of quiet places to sit or stretch out, plus the lovingly planted corners. We especially enjoyed the wood-fired outdoor sauna and the hot tub. You can also use the indoor sauna if you ask. Our room was spacious and cozy, with a wonderful view over the Wiesent River and the broad meadows toward Waischenfeld. The hotel is older, and that gives it its own charm. The road on the far side of the Wiesent didn't bother us. Parking for guests is plentiful right at the hotel. Breakfast is served in the old dining room, or out in the garden when the weather's nice. It was our first stay at the Pulvermühle, and we felt right at home. Sabine, the kind and attentive owner, was always ready to help. We'll definitely come back. And for anyone bothered by small things like pillows or towels, a friendly word can sometimes do more than a bad review. Highly recommended.

We felt at ease from the moment we arrived, and we'd love to come back. Pulvermühle sits right beside the Wiesent River on a beautifully kept property, a peaceful spot to get away from the daily rush. The owners are incredibly kind and friendly, and our cozy room looked out over the river. Sabine made breakfast with everything we could need, a great start to the day. Best wishes, the Helbig family
