10/10
The location is a big reason we’d come back. There’s a stream and a park about a four-minute walk away, with hours of flat paths and hill climbs, so it’s especially good for dogs that love water. The hotel itself is welcoming, and the staff were so friendly. The breakfast server was wonderfully cheerful, and at dinner we had quick, efficient service and tasty food from a lovely server. They were also happy to let us take breakfast up to our room on the second morning. Our room was spacious and very clean, with a superb shower. The balcony could fit three people, though it faces a busy road and gets noisy.

You can walk from this pretty village hotel to a pharmacy, a couple of restaurants and bakeries, and a grocery store. The rooms were clean and pleasant, and breakfast was free. There’s also a restaurant in the hotel, including on Mondays, if you’d rather eat in. Staff were friendly, and there’s parking in a garage underneath. Just be ready to carry your luggage up the stairs, since there’s no elevator.

The reception was very welcoming, and the stay was very good overall. There were a few small issues that weren’t dealbreakers. One was the lack of a shower mat, so you’re on your own if you slip.

The staff were lovely, the rooms were clean, and the food at their Stube was good.

Both the hotel and restaurant were very good. This may well be the best one in the region.
