Hotel-Boxberg

The hotel is quiet and very well run, and the staff are friendly without disturbing us. Even with the open terrace right beside our room, we heard very little. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and everything is well maintained. Our double room had a small sofa, desk, kettle, and little wardrobe. The hotel supplies towels and toiletries, and there’s a smart TV, but the Wi-Fi is terrible. Watching a movie was practically impossible, and the connection isn’t good enough to work online. The hotel really needs to improve it. The other issue was the bathroom drain. Water from the open shower spread across the floor because it didn’t drain properly. The drainage and internet both need work.

The rooms felt spotless and homey, from the bedding and towels to the bathroom. They were in excellent condition, with a walk-in shower and quality fixtures, plus a complimentary kettle and tea, which you don’t often find these days. The hosts were fun and accommodating, and the accommodation was very affordable. We also loved the restaurant. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the whole place, hotel included, had lovely attention to detail. Five stars all around. We’ll definitely come back and try the attached beer garden next time.
