The hotel's organic breakfast was a highlight, with lots of breads, cold cuts, cheeses, and spreads. The family running the place were very helpful and dealt with any issues promptly. Parking was easy, even with a larger EV. Our apartment had plenty of room and several rooms, plus a fully equipped kitchen that worked well for our three-day stay. The furniture is older, probably from the 1980s, but well made and has its own charm. The view from the balcony and living room was breathtaking. There is no AC in the rooms, apartments, or breakfast area, so it can get hot indoors and affect sleep. Visiting earlier or later in the year, when temperatures are milder, might be better. The town mostly has LTE rather than 5G, and the WiFi may not be strong enough for remote work, as I needed it to be. Waldeck has almost no restaurants of the quality you might look for when choosing an organic hotel. We drove about an hour to Kassel and found a very good organic restaurant, Flux, which was well worth the trip. The stay gave us the space, quiet, and relaxation we needed.

This family-oriented eco-resort on the edge of a National Park was the highlight of our trip through Germany. It's a real gem, tucked away off the beaten path. We got a pass when we arrived that covered cable cars and buses and gave us access to other local finds. The breakfast was great, and the advice was genuinely warm and friendly. They were always willing to go the extra mile, or kilometer, as it were. Of the 10 hotels we stayed at in Germany, this was our favorite. We hope to return someday.

We've stayed at this fantastic organic hotel five times and will definitely be back next year. It's in a superb spot for relaxing and hiking, and even a small family will find plenty to do nearby.

The rooms are clean, though the decor in ours looked straight out of the 70s and really wasn't nice. Breakfast was good, and there's a lovely swimming pond beside a big sunbathing lawn. The hotel's location is fantastic.
