I felt grossed out by the state of the place. There was mold in a room corner, and cockroaches and other bugs seemed to be coming out of the walls. The kitchen was dirty too, with stains on the forks, knives, spoons, plates, and the rest, so I had to clean every single item before using it. I wouldn't recommend staying here, and I'm never coming back.

The owners were very friendly and came over within a few minutes when we called, even though they don't live at the pension. The shared kitchen had everything needed, and the rooms were spacious, comfortable, furnished with the essentials, and very clean. There's a bakery in the next house with fresh bread for breakfast, except on Mondays. In front, there's a small market-like area with free parking and an ATM. Maastricht and Aachen are both about 30 minutes away, which made this a very good place to stay for a few days while visiting the area.

The bakery around the corner was world-class, though on Saturdays and Sundays we had to queue 😅. Breakfast in the common room worked out really well. We were very satisfied and pleasantly surprised, and for what we needed and the location we visited, the place was almost perfect.

We arrived for check-in at 11 p.m., and although the reservation apparently wasn't quite right, the room was ready anyway. The people were really friendly, and the rooms were beautiful and clean. Great stay, highly recommended.
