The room was spotless and very comfortable, and the location is good, right by a friendly restaurant with good food. I do prefer a key to a code, though. They gave me the wrong code, so I had to call and couldn't get into my room.

The hotel was quiet, modern, and practical, and getting there on foot from the train station was easy. My first fully automated check-in went smoothly. We weren't sure if breakfast was available, since I couldn't find any information about it, so we went to a bakery nearby.

We had a great experience with customer service, and it was easy to reach them on WhatsApp. The hotel sits right in the heart of Waldkirch, a lovely little town, and I'd definitely come back. Our room was clean, although there were a few strange spots on the carpet. The bathroom was clean and well stocked, the bed was comfortable, and the charging points were handy. On the downside, the air conditioning struggled, so we slept without it on a very hot night. The brochure promised Netflix, but the TV wasn't signed in.

We stayed for five nights. The room was a bit tight for two people to move around in, but it was laid out efficiently. A small fridge would be a welcome addition. The location is excellent for walking to restaurants, shops, and the train station. The contactless check-in and check-out worked well, but the process needs improving when guests actually need help. There was no local person to speak to; everything went through an office elsewhere, and someone might be available on site to sort out a request if you're lucky.

The location is perfect and the hotel is clean, but checking in took us over half an hour. Having the option to check in at a front desk would make things much easier for guests.
