The shower was the one drawback: it tends to flood, and the step into it is much too high. Otherwise, the apartment made a great impression. It’s spacious and well equipped, with a veranda and porch swing, lots of play equipment for children, and chickens, ducks, and cows. We got a friendly welcome and would love to return for another proper Bavarian holiday near the Czech border.

The terrace is lovely, with horses, ducks, and chickens in view, and the owners are very friendly. Dogs are welcome, though we didn’t see a fence. It’s a nice little holiday apartment for two. With a third person or more, the living room becomes a bedroom and can’t really be used as a living room anymore.

We spent three relaxing days in this fully equipped basement apartment, set among the pleasant hills and countryside of Upper Bavaria. The fresh eggs from the chicken coop were a lovely welcome, and the place was excellent value.

We always feel at ease staying with the Schönberger family. The apartment is lovely and clean, and we highly recommend it. We’re already looking forward to another holiday in the beautiful Upper Palatinate. Prosdorf/Waldmünchen is always worth a visit.

The hostess made us feel at home straight away. She’d preheated the kitchen for us, including the fantastic wood-burning stove, and everything was perfectly equipped. We’ve saved the address for our next holiday. It couldn’t be better.
