Fährhaus Hotel

The room was really warm and had a view of the river, but there was a loud highway right next to the hotel. The rooms are tiny with no soundproofing, and the restaurant kitchen smell comes into your room as you're falling asleep. Its restrooms are in the hotel hallway, and restaurant guests can be loud. My shower was dirty and moldy, with a broken shower head and a faucet covered in limescale. There's a restaurant on the ground floor.

The room was decent and the bathroom in good shape, but the location is outside town along a main road. Within 1km, there was only one sort of shopping center, mostly car parts and accessory shops or workshops, plus one restaurant. Arriving was confusing. There was no obvious entrance and apparently nobody around, just a few open doors with little or nothing available. After searching for 10 minutes, I found a guy coming out of one building. When I asked about reception, he took me to the in-house restaurant, which seemed to be closed, where the people helped me check in with varying levels of friendliness and enthusiasm. They don't seem too concerned about making sure customers, even those with bookings, can find them. I'd have given four stars, but the confusing arrival and lukewarm service cost it another one.

The price was good for a night to break up the trip, and the location works well if you have a car. The hotel still isn't finished. There were no shower towels, only hand towels, and the shared bathroom was just okay.

We stopped for one night during a cycling tour. The room was clean and good enough, and the breakfast was good. We paid €67 for the smallest double room, with breakfast for two. The staff were friendly, though unfortunately the restaurant was closed.
