Waldshuter Hof

The hotel was right on our bike touring route, and there was a secure place for our bikes a short walk away. Our group of three adults stayed in June. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable, and the young man who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast wasn't available at the hotel because of construction. We could have paid extra for breakfast at a nearby restaurant, but declined.

Our room was large, though the layout was a little odd, and the location was fantastic. Renovations were underway, which we'd been told about before arriving, so the place may not be a fair reflection of how it will look shortly.

We had a pleasant visit at this quaint hotel in the heart of beautiful Old Town Waldshut. The young woman at check-in was warm and helpful, and recommended a great restaurant for dinner. There was no air conditioning, but the weather was just right, so the open windows brought in cool, fresh air at night. At another time of year, that might have been a deal-breaker.

We've stayed at the Waldshuter Hof every year for the last nine years when we visit Waldshut. That probably says enough. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and light, and both breakfast and dinner offer plenty of choice and taste delicious. Daniel and the staff are always friendly and helpful. It's right in the center of Kaiserstrasse, the main street, and only about a five-minute walk from the railway station. Most local attractions, bars, restaurants, and other spots are nearby. If you're staying in Waldshut, I can't recommend the Waldshuter Hof highly enough.
