Herrenhaus Alt Vorwerk

We spent eleven days at the manor house and loved the quiet setting, the high-ceilinged rooms, and the park. The hall worked well for our family celebration of about 30 people, and the adjoining kitchen had a stove and two fridges, everything we needed to get ready. Mrs. Hecker was easygoing and let us arrange the celebration the way we wanted. Alt Vorwerk is very rural, which suited us. We could hear farm machinery during harvest, but it didn't bother us. We also took day trips from there: the beach near Warnemünde was easy to reach, and in Teterow we enjoyed the town museum in the morning followed by Burgwallinsel in the afternoon. A great pairing. Thanks to the owner, and we wish her continued success with this special house.

The hostess made us feel welcome right away and was warm, helpful, and flexible about what we needed. Families with children are welcome too, along with couples and solo guests. Inside, the Alt Vorwerk manor house has lots of wood, cozy wood-burning stoves, and carefully chosen furnishings that suit its 19th-century style. The spacious park is a lovely place to relax. Almost all the Baltic Sea resorts are close enough for a day trip, so it's a place I'd happily visit again.

Our apartment was nicely furnished, with a modern, spotless bathroom, and was very clean apart from a little dust and a few cobwebs in the upper corners. The grounds were quiet and spacious, with barbecue spots for an evening outside. We only used the place to sleep, though. As someone who really loves coffee, I missed having a coffee machine, so that takes a star off for me. ;)

We had a lovely, quiet stay in the comfortable, spacious holiday apartment. The manor grounds are large, with several places to sit, barbecue grills, a trampoline, a slide, and a ping-pong table. The landlady was exceptionally friendly and accommodating.
