Walkenried is a charming little town, and the people there were incredibly friendly. We could head out on marked trails and lovely hikes in every direction, with forests all around. Our three-bedroom apartment was peaceful, though the church bells did wake us at seven. It was cozy, colorful, and furnished in a mix of styles, with everything we needed to feel at home. The lovely garden terrace had a big table for meals and long evenings when the weather was good. Parking was right beside the house, and we could see the monastery ruins from the apartment. The landlady was very nice.

Everything was spotless, and we had all we needed in the apartment. Lydia was so friendly and shared lots of useful tips for our stay. The place is right beside the monastery. For the museum, the audio guide is well worth using, and it works well for children too. We'd be glad to return!

Thanks for such a lovely setting for a wonderful holiday. The apartment is stylish throughout, with so much care put into the details. It's a dream place for anyone who appreciates the finer things. We'll definitely come back! 👍🤗🤗🤗

The apartment and grounds are spacious, very nice, and well kept. The heating system was unfortunately loud enough to disturb us, even at night.

We'd happily stay again. The holiday apartment was fantastic, the location was great, and the landlady was wonderful. Everything was great.
