The apartment was clean and in a good location, but it was cold at 18 degrees Celsius. The radiators were cold at night, and the off-season price felt high.

Haus Presse is centrally located, with restaurants and bakeries easy to reach, and Walkenried makes a good base for hikes. We could use the local bus service for free to travel to Sachsa and Braunlage at reasonable prices. The house handled the COVID-19 regulations excellently, and I had already made my vacation plans for 2021. We stayed as a couple and felt very comfortable. At first the Wi-Fi had no signal, but Mrs. Presse helped immediately, and by the third day we had a good connection.

Ms. Presse is always friendly and tries to accommodate everyone. The vacation apartments are very nice, thoughtfully furnished, and equipped with everything you need. The price is very reasonable for Walkenried compared with other vacation apartments.

The location is quiet but still makes it easy to get to larger tourist spots. There’s a bakery 100 meters away, several nice restaurants, and good walks starting from the house. We spent a week here with our daughter and her family. The apartments are lovely and fully equipped, one with a sunny balcony and the other with a kind of covered balcony where you can open the large windows. Highly recommended.
