The train station is only a five-minute walk away, and Oberstdorf takes about 45 minutes by train. By car, we reached almost all our destinations in under 30 minutes. The apartment is ideal for getting around. We first stayed with the Wetzel family last year and came back this month. Sandra and Volker are so warm and helpful, always ready with ideas for excursions and hikes. We feel at ease here in a way that’s more like coming home. The apartment is the best-equipped, cleanest, and loveliest holiday rental we’ve stayed in. Towels, bed linen, and even a great bar of soap are provided. There’s a washing machine and dryer, which is handy with children, and everything is furnished with real care. From the dining table, you get a magnificent mountain view. The beds are comfortable, with duvets suited to the season. Our toddler loved the children’s books and Duplo toys, and there’s also a changing table, highchair, travel cot, and large bathtub. We appreciated that pets aren’t allowed, which keeps the apartment cleaner and more hygienic. Mosquito nets on every window keep the unwanted visitors out. It’ll be hard to find another place where we feel this comfortable. If we come back to the Allgäu, we’ll stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful time!

Our bikes could be stored in the garage, which was very handy. The apartment had everything needed for a comfortable holiday, and the hosts were lovely and happy to share tips for outings. The dining table view was one of the highlights, and the location made it easy to explore. It’s quiet, yet the nearby B19 gets you to Kempten, Immenstadt, and Sonthofen in about 10-15 minutes. There’s a bakery within 100 meters and an organic fresh milk vending machine open around the clock about 800 meters away. We were warmly welcomed, and our friendly hostess took time to answer our questions and concerns. The owner also offered information about local attractions and hiking routes. They both speak a lovely Allgäu dialect and made us feel at home. The apartment looked just like the website photos, and was very clean and well maintained. It’s modern and lovingly furnished, with little details that add charm. The amenities are extensive and high quality: dishwasher, Senseo coffee machine, washing machine, hairdryers, magazines, mosquito nets, TV with Amazon Prime, stereo, parking, Wi-Fi, and a well-equipped kitchenette. Compliments to our hosts for such a wonderful stay.
