Hotel Schmidt's Hoern

The location is very peaceful, and the whole stay felt perfect. The sauna is small but nice, with a relaxation room alongside it. Rooms look modern, the staff are friendly, and everything was spotlessly clean.

Breakfast was fantastic, and everyone on staff was exceptionally friendly. We booked at short notice with our 11-month-old daughter, and the spacious ground-floor room suited us perfectly, with its terrace and kitchenette. The hotel and its attentive service were absolutely outstanding. Everything felt just right.

The breakfast buffet had a lot to choose from, including fresh fruit salad, quark, yogurt, and toppings like flaxseed and bran. There were also breads, muesli, hazelnut spread, eggs, and bacon, plus a fully automatic coffee machine with all kinds of coffee. Breakfast really left nothing to be desired. Our double room with a balcony was very clean and well equipped: a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, dishes and cutlery for two, and a small sofa. The bathroom had everything too. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s a complete, worry-free package for a great price, and we’ll definitely return.

They gave us a lovely surprise at check-in: I’d booked a standard double room for my son and me, but we got a double room with a balcony instead. We’d happily recommend the hotel. Room service came every other day, which was fine with us since we sometimes make our own beds. The hotel sits on a quiet side street, around 250 meters from the town center. Our room was clean and spacious, and there’s free parking as well as covered bicycle storage just behind the building. The breakfast room was clean and the selection was broad, from fruit salad and muesli to hazelnut spread, scrambled eggs, bacon, boiled eggs, breads, and a fully automatic coffee machine. My only gripe was that the rolls were pre-baked.
