Read the information email all the way through, and your stay at Westkap should get off to a good start. If you don't, a "grumpy old" man might set the wrong tone for your beautiful stay. The place is clean and nice, with a genuinely friendly team running it. It's a great fit for families, and costs less than any hotel choice. This is the kind of hostel you'd expect, not a *****hotel, and it goes well beyond that. They really put their heart into making you feel looked after.

There's plenty to keep children and adults occupied here, even when it's rainy or stormy, and the place feels cozy and welcoming. There's no Wi-Fi by design, so instead of scrolling social media, you can talk to people around you, read, or pick from the many games. If you want some peace and a digital detox, this is a good place to come. I'll be back for the owners' company, the lovely landscape, and the food.

It was really bad. The place was dusty, with far too many spiders, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned. I paid 320€ for her school trip, and they could have done a lot better with that money.
