Pension Franzbäcker

A great place, with fantastic owners. Very pet friendly.

We stayed during a cycling tour and had the same positive impression as others before us. I loved the African touches around the accommodation, and there were lots of details to look at, from the sand quartz to a beautiful glass vase and a world map marked with where guests came from. The double room had a balcony overlooking a lovely koi pond, plus a bathroom with both a bathtub and shower. The hand shower on the tub was broken, though its hose was long enough to use, and you can still hop into the regular shower after a bath. Replacing the faucet takes considerable work, especially during peak season, so please don't be annoyed about it. There are two fireplaces for cozy autumn or winter evenings, one wood-burning and one gas/ethanol. The room also had a TV and a selection of books. Coffee was available even before the stated breakfast time. We'll come back, and next time stay longer than one night.

A big room, generous breakfast and really nice hosts. We'd gladly come back!

The hostess was incredibly kind and helpful, and the whole stay was easy to navigate. My friend and I were on a bike tour, and the location suited us perfectly for an overnight stop. The room was superbly equipped and breakfast was amazing. Great value for money all around, highly recommended!
