Landgasthaus Meyer

The village seemed to revolve around the Inn. There were all sorts of events coming and going while I was there, but they never disrupted the service. I felt welcome from the staff and the villagers alike, and would happily recommend it to anyone working or holidaying nearby. What really made the place stand out was how helpful and friendly everyone was. They were always cheerful, handled my laundry well and promptly without boiling my socks, and fitted around early starts and late nights without fuss or extra cost. I first stayed for one weekend five years ago, yet when I came back this year they recognized me straight away and greeted me by name. There was a real old-fashioned trust to the place: unlike chain hotels, they never asked for payment in advance or charged me for cancellations. I was here for several weeks and was very happy. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the beds were comfortable too, and the bathrooms felt up to date. The menu is small and doesn't change much, but the food was freshly prepared, came quickly, and the choices were well thought out. Some evenings they offered dishes that weren't on the menu, and every one was excellent.
