The owners were exceptionally friendly, and arranging dinner at short notice was no trouble. There’s only one meal offered, so you need to be flexible, but it was delicious. Breakfast had everything I could want. I was pleasantly surprised by the room, which was simply and practically furnished with a sink. The toilets and showers are shared in the hallway, but they’re brand new and beautifully done. I could store my bicycle in a locked garage, and the view of the Danube, the town, and the monastery is stunning.

We arrived two hours late, at 8:30 pm instead of 6:30 pm, which meant our large group couldn’t have dinner until quite late. That can’t have been easy for the kitchen, but they accommodated us kindly and with understanding. Their hospitality and goodwill alone earned five stars from me. Dinner was good and fairly priced. The guesthouse is in an excellent spot, absolutely quiet with a beautiful view of the Danube Valley, and the rooms are lovely and clean.

Such a welcoming family-run place, with clean rooms and genuinely reasonable prices. Breakfast is better than at most hotels, with proper bread instead of supermarket rolls. Lunch and dinner were just as satisfying, everything is cooked from scratch.

We came for a choir rehearsal weekend with 25 people, and the whole stay went smoothly. The planning conversations were friendly and helpful. Our rooms varied, some were modern and others had older furnishings, but every one was clean and worked well. The showers were modern, either in the rooms or along the hallway. Rooms facing the valley had a fantastic view of the abbey. The staff were especially accommodating. They adjusted meal times a little, let us use additional rooms for rehearsals, and allowed us to stay in our rooms for quite a while. The food was simple, freshly cooked, and delicious. We all felt very comfortable. Thank you for your hospitality!
