The staff were kind and friendly, and the breakfast was delicious with different options to pick from. I couldn’t check in during reception hours, but they sent me clear instructions, which was great. My room was just right for one person, very nice, and the bathroom was clean. The hotel is close to the station, restaurants, the museum, and the lake, where I could relax and watch the sunset in the evening. Even though it’s near the street, I didn’t hear bothersome noise at night. I also appreciated that cleaning didn’t start until around 10:30, so I could sleep in. I came for a relaxing weekend, had a nice stay, and would definitely return.

My husband booked this newly built business hotel without checking the room size, and he was disappointed once we arrived. The compact rooms are about 12 square meters each and have no minibar. We stayed only two nights, but the small space made us uncomfortable. It could work for a business trip or a short stay if you don’t need much. The hotel is clean, and 15-20 minutes on foot from the harbor. Behind it there’s a pretty green hill, the lovely Schaupark, and a Zen garden for a stroll. The steep location makes it unsuitable for families, in my view.

The rooms were great, and booking and check-in were flexible. Breakfast was great too. Ms Schwarz at reception and Mrs Stoll, the hotelier, were friendly.
