Markthotel Warendorf

The view of the market square from our room was beautiful, though the noise meant earplugs came in handy. Our room was spacious enough for two, with a very comfortable bed and decor that suited the building. Service was excellent and everything went smoothly. The hotel is currently being renovated, and hopefully breakfast will be served in the new extension when we return. We definitely will!

With temperatures at -3°C, the room heating was turned off at midnight. There were lots of hairs on the bed linen, and the floor was dirty too. I can't recommend this hotel.

I wouldn't pay €75 per night for three nights here on a private stay. Reception was only available from 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM, which didn't make me feel properly looked after. My room on the second floor meant going up steep stairs, so it wasn't accessible for someone with limited mobility. The bathroom fan was very dirty, the shower fittings weren't clean, the ceiling light was broken, and the TV wasn't connected. Leaving the window open to sleep was nearly impossible because noisy pigeons sat right outside. There was no breakfast during my stay, and the Wi-Fi was very slow or unavailable. Parking at the EDEKA garage, about a 5-minute walk away, was inconvenient.

It's right on the market square, with restaurants and cafes close by. The welcome was very friendly, our tidy room was clean and had a small refrigerator, and we could leave our bicycles in the adjacent building.
