Landhaus Preißinger

We were lucky to get a week here just after the high season, even though we hadn’t planned ahead. The atmosphere was so relaxing. We chose half pension and were surprised by the luxurious breakfasts and enjoyable evening meals. Each night there were two traditional hot dishes, often including a vegetarian option, or a cold Brotzeit with plenty of cheese and meat. Everything was tasty and carefully prepared, at a very reasonable price. Our room was comfortable, with a sitting area and balcony overlooking the Ochsenkopf and Warmensteinach. This lovely family-run hotel sits on the hillside above town. The compact pool area is a real gem, with a stainless steel pool that includes a whirlpool. There’s also a sauna and other interesting water wellness features, plus a sunny relaxation room upstairs with valley views. Fluffy towels and robes are provided, and massages are available by appointment. The location made it easy to hike in the Fichtelgebirge and explore nearby villages. There was more to discover than we could fit into a week, so we’ll have to come back.

It’s in a quiet spot close to Bayreuth, with a cozy room and fast internet. The owners are helpful, the staff are friendly, and breakfast is high quality and more than enough. The wellness center is nice and included in the rate.

A peaceful spot in a beautiful valley. The staff were very friendly, even with the language gap between our English and their German.

A cozy, friendly place with a real country feel and a lovely view. The restaurant was nice, and the food was great.
