Hotel & Gästehaus Warsteiner Welt

Our room was spacious, with a separate sitting area, and the hotel is decorated really nicely. It was clean, the shower was great, and the linen was changed every day. Bottled water was provided, though there were no tea or coffee facilities. Our second floor room under the roof got quite warm, as there was no air conditioning. The hotel sits right in the Warsteiner brewery park beside the visitor centre, in pleasant countryside. I hadn't realised that before booking. Since I stayed Monday and Tuesday, I missed the brewery visit, as the centre is only open Wednesday through Saturday. The hotel reception wasn't staffed except in the morning at breakfast, so we got in using a secure key box. The instructions had been emailed beforehand, and getting the key was easy. It opens both the outside door and the room. The side entrance, on the right of the main building, wasn't obvious when we arrived. Breakfast was adequate, with a small selection of hot food, bacon and egg. Coffee was good, and there was a fresh flask on each table. The breakfast room is nicely decorated, and the reception area also serves as a bar when it's open in the evenings. There's a large outdoor beer garden, plus a camping area for camper vans and tents. It was empty while I was there, perhaps because people come for festivals, events, or when the brewery visitor centre is open. The tour sounds good. You can find details online by searching for Warsteiner brewery. It costs €23 and includes two hours of tasting their beers afterwards. I was sorry to miss it, and would gladly return another time.
