Gitstapper Hof natuurhuis

There was no one at the establishment when we needed help. Another guest who arrived at the same time as us had the same issue, and if something goes wrong you may spend the night in your car or hours trying to reach someone. We also didn’t get the room we booked because we had a dog. They put us in a different, less good room that hadn’t been planned, but charged us the same price. The towels were tiny, and there was only an espresso machine with paper cups. There are just rooms, no garden, kitchen or lounge, despite what’s written. You’re out in the fields. Be careful if you’re bringing a dog. They say dogs are accepted and charge an extra cleaning fee, which is normal. But after we left, they sent a very aggressive message about dog hair on the sheets and threatened to keep our fat if we came back. I have the message from the person who threatened me as proof. She says dogs on the sheets are totally forbidden, though that isn’t written anywhere in the rules. Our Little Cavalier King Charles always sleeps on our feet, on top of the sheets, and apparently that’s a problem for them. It makes me wonder whether they change the sheets between guests, since they charge extra for special cleaning for dogs.

The facility is fully digitally serviced, and the rooms are clean and new. They could use a few more details, though. It’s super peaceful, with great surroundings to explore with young children.

At first the room looked clean, but opening the trash bin and finding it full made me wonder whether it had been properly cleaned.

The staff were friendly, and the renovation looks beautiful. Lovely restaurants and a wonderful playground are within walking distance, and the location is excellent.
