The hostess was so friendly and helpful, and shared some great tips. The surroundings are lovely, and it’s excellent value for money. We felt safe and cozy in this beautiful vacation apartment, which is decorated with lots of thoughtful, creative details. It’s a great base for hikes, with Bayreuth 17 km away and the Hermitage 13 km away. There’s no cell phone reception, and the Wi-Fi signal is unreliable.

The apartment and garden have a warm, cozy feel, and everything was clean and very well equipped. The hosts gave us a friendly welcome and were glad to share advice and recommendations. It’s a lovely quiet retreat and a great starting point for hikes and bike rides nearby or farther away.

Birdsong and the sound of the stream are what you hear here, away from the traffic but still not far from the city. It’s quiet and well located. The place is clean and well equipped, old-fashioned but cozy, and suitable for 2 people. The lady is nice! Just keep in mind that this is the attic of an old house. If I remember right, the year above the door says 1864, though I’m not sure. There are a few minor design flaws, but it’s not a 5-star hotel. For the price, it’s good value.
