We had a lovely break, and our dog settled in easily too, getting along with the family’s lovely dog. Thanks to everyone in the family, and we hope to visit again soon. We drove about five hours from RLP for our first summer stay, mainly because this was about the only affordable rental we found with a pool. The hosts have two apartments side by side under the roof of their house. Ours was the smaller one for three people, with another apartment next door for five. Since everyone is under one roof and holidaymakers share the pool, it’s a bit like vacationing with the family. We were lucky and never ran into the other guests, though we did spend a few evenings with the family. The woman of the house is very likable, open, warm and friendly, but that kind of togetherness may not suit everyone on holiday. The setting is idyllic and peaceful, with fresh country air and a rooster to wake you in the morning. There was no stable smell! Our apartment had just been renovated, with a new kitchen coming soon, and it stayed cool even under the roof. The family supplies wood or charcoal for the swivel grill at no charge, and there’s a gas grill as well. At the pool, cold drinks were available from a shed for €1.50 each, to pay for when leaving. We sometimes had rolls delivered: tell them what you like in advance, and they’re at the door the next day. We also tried breakfast for €9 per person. The plate was beautifully arranged and piled with things like cheese, sausage, butter, sometimes salmon, and vegetables, along with coffee, milk and juice. We were definitely full and impressed by the presentation. Shops are about a 10-minute drive away. The host recommended pork knuckle at ALOIS RÄDLINGER and kindly called ahead to order it for us, since it’s not on the menu every day. It was about a 20-minute walk, and we came back delighted with the food, beer and hospitality.

We spent eight days here in June and would gladly choose it again for our next holiday. The family was very friendly and took care of everything, and we highly recommend the place. The apartment was spotless and well furnished, with everything we needed, from cookware and dishes to a TV and toys for the children. Towels, a bathrobe and a hairdryer were also provided. There was another camper van with guests in the garden, but it didn’t bother us at all. The area is great for cycling and hiking, and after a day outside you can properly unwind in the fantastic pool.

The accommodation is clean and finished to a high standard, and the pool is amazing. Fantastic hosts too.

A lovely family and a really peaceful place to unwind. We’d be happy to come back.
