Haus Bollinger

It’s easy to get to France and Switzerland, and there’s an outdoor pool in good weather. Those are the only positives I can mention about Bollinger House. For €100 a night, I expect different accommodation. It was dirty, and we hardly wanted to use anything or sit down without cleaning it first. We couldn’t sleep through a single night because of the constant noise, and even the children couldn’t get a proper nap. There was no comfort. The shower curtain kept sticking to you, the bed slats were broken, and the beds were cheap. They’d definitely paid for themselves after two paid nights. There was no comfort at all, and getting up meant back pain. The rooms were very unpleasant, with the heating running and running even though the thermostat was off. There were plenty of parking spaces, but it was far too cramped if you wanted everyone to stay in their cars. The place might do for tradespeople, but it’s still overpriced and definitely not suitable for a proper holiday. I think my review is clear and exposes the fake reviews. NEVER AGAIN!!!

There’s a refrigerator for drinks and food, and the pool is always available. It’s only a 2-minute drive to the Swiss border crossing. Since the place is by the Rhine, restaurants and shops are 5-7 minutes away. The room was nice and bright, though the Wi-Fi in it was poor. There are two other rooms, and everyone shares a toilet, bathtub, and shower. If you don’t mind that, the price is okay!

The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The accommodation itself was beautiful, with clean, spacious rooms and a fully equipped kitchen. It’s quiet, has parking right at the house, and is very close to the Swiss border and the Three Countries Garden.

We got a great price after negotiating with the hosts. They’re super friendly, and the place is clean, with parking right in front of the house and an entrance door for unloading luggage. The card locking system is easy to keep in your wallet, so no annoying key to carry around. There’s a fully equipped kitchen and a tea and coffee corner too. What more could you want? We’d definitely come back.
