The breakfast was excellent, and the whole place felt nice and cozy thanks to the care put into the details. The owners are clearly bike and biking lovers. The place is mainly set up for bikers, though not exclusively, with secure storage, tools for small fixes, maps, and people available to help and guide travelers around the region. It was too late in the year to really enjoy the garden and the shade from the lovely trees, but I imagine it would be very pleasant in summer. I missed the chance to greet the hosts on behalf of ADFC Frankfurt. Maybe next time.

Everyone was very friendly, and we were more than satisfied with the hotel. The rooms were stylish, clean, and the whole place was very quiet. Breakfast had a wide choice, and items were topped up as needed. It's right on the Ilm Valley Cycle Path, a little outside Weimar. There's a bus stop just in front, and the bus runs regularly, taking about 10 minutes to reach Weimar.
