Weimar was easy to explore from here: the central bus stop, market square, and National Theatre were all about three minutes away, with everything else also within easy walking distance. The guesthouse sits on a quieter side street in the center, so nights were peaceful. We had two lovely days and really enjoyed our time there. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the whole place, including the breakfast room, was beautifully and colorfully furnished. Breakfast had just the right selection to get the day started.

Restaurants and bars serving good food and drinks are just around the corner. This small guesthouse is clean and tastefully furnished, right in the heart of Weimar. We had a perfect short trip.

We've stayed at the House of Colors twice. It's very quiet at night, and the parking lot right beside the building is a real bonus. Both the city and its sights are an easy walk away, so the location is hard to beat. The one drawback was the beds, which could be more comfortable, so we took off a star for the room.
