We came when it wasn’t very busy, and it worked out perfectly for our family. The lake is open to the public, and it’s clean too. The bathroom looked new and nice. I’d read reviews complaining there was no restaurant, but that wasn’t a big deal for us: the cafeteria sells pommes, salad, ice cream, and more, which was enough. EDEKA is close too, only around 1km from the campingpark. You can shop there and cook, no restaurant needed! 😏😏

We stayed here for a couple of days on our way back from Slovenia, and it was just right for the last three days of our holidays. There’s a nice little town and forest nearby for hiking, plus a big campsite by a lovely swimming lake. Wemding is quiet, and the campsite was quiet while we were there. The restaurant is open and has a new owner, and the shower and toilet facilities are brand new. You have to pay in advance and can’t get a refund. A bit strange, but not a big problem.

It cost only €12.50 for me and my tent at this lovely, quiet campsite. The walk from the camping area to the toilets and showers is a bit of a hike, but they’re clean and hot.

The bathrooms and showers are top quality, and there’s a beautiful lake for swimming. It has everything you need and more, probably one of the best places I’ve stayed.
