Haus Karola

The house was much roomier than it looked in the pictures, and the modern rooms and bathrooms were clean. We stayed at Haus Karola for two nights, five of us, and everyone was completely happy. Getting everything sorted for check-in and check-out was incredibly easy, and the staff were so accommodating. We were pleasantly surprised and definitely want to return. The pictures are accurate, and the house has excellent furnishings, spacious rooms, and genuinely accessible accommodation. Even little things had been thought through, like several sturdy barbecue tongs and firewood. We booked for a weekend with 10 people, including someone who uses a wheelchair. Everything was prepared flawlessly, and the owner handled our requests and special needs very accommodatingly. Communication was completely straightforward. We had a wonderful time and lacked nothing, thank you so much.

We were 10 adults, so the children’s rooms ended up being used by grown-ups, but that was no problem. There are two refrigerators and a freezer, plus a huge grill, a great garden, and a rowboat. It has an electric motor as well, though we didn’t use it. A chic fish restaurant is almost next door for anyone who doesn’t want to cook or grill, and there are plenty of lakes nearby. Kleiner Glubigsee is just as good as the one next door, while Scharmützelsee is a stone’s throw away. The natural surroundings were lovely, and we got a warm welcome. The rooms were large and clean, with lots of nice little touches, and the bathrooms feel like a wellness space. Each bedside table had a small welcome drink. The kitchen is lavishly equipped, and the whole house is accessible for people with disabilities and older guests. We didn’t need the accessibility features ourselves, but it’s wonderful that the house can be used by more than just young people. Highly recommended.

A lovely swimming spot is only a few minutes away. The house has everything you could need, and the big kitchen with dining space, balconies, and garden make it easy to enjoy a relaxing evening. Simply wonderful.
