A quiet enough place for a night, away from the bustle of big cities. The natural surroundings are lovely, with the large Main river cutting through dense forest. The amenities aren’t very good, though.

The staff are incredibly friendly, and they serve a generous breakfast. The rooms are simple but clean, with Wi-Fi and TV. I only wished there were a small lounge. During opening hours, the barn, Schlupfe-Scheune, serves good food and regional beer. Around the village you can explore the Tauber River, and it’s worth climbing up to the castle for delicious cake and coffee.

We’ve stayed here twice with our caravan. The area is great, the rooms are decent, clean, and spacious, and the staff are very friendly. The food and drinks are delicious, while breakfast is okay. What more could you ask for?
